Station history The once Hickory Township in which Patagonia was formed became what it is known as today as the City of Hermitage. A third class city in Pennsylvania that is home to 20,000 residents and a bustling commercial area. The Patagonia Volunteer fire department, Hermitage Station Number 2, now responds to all fire and rescue emergencies with in the City limits. It's Mercer County radio identifier is Station 86 while the Hermitage Fire Departments is Station 93. When dispatched through Mercer County 911, we are dispatched as stations 93,86. | Types of responses The PVFD responds to all types of Fire and rescue related emergencies. While its first due response area is mainly residential there are agricultural areas and of course the Shenango river which requires water capabilities. In it's district the PVFD is the first due engine company to a federal housing complex on Orangville road and several miles of shoreline of the shenango river. The PVFD also responds as the second due company for all locations throughout the City of Hermitage which encompass all types of responses and capabilities.
