In November of 2002, a F1 tornado touched down in two neighboring communities, South Pymatuming township and Clark boro. 

Many departments in Mercer County came to assist our friends and neighbors in thier time of need. This picture on the left was taken the day after when crews performed secondary searches in the areas affected by the tornado.

Members of station 86 and Station 18, Brookfield Ohio, sift through the debris of an recreational vehicle fire that was reported to Trumbull County 911 as a working structure fire. Due to it's proximity to the state line, Station 86 provides mutual aid to Station 18 several times a year.
